To teach the children of Quincy the fundamentals of
Football and Cheer in a safe and fun environment.
For 75 years the Quincy Youth Football League was centered around "neighborhood team play". Our approach encouraged boys & girls from the same geographical area to form football and cheerleading teams and compete with others in the city in their age groups. The original league comprised of the North Quincy Apaches, Quincy Point Panthers, Houghs Neck Manets, West Quincy Elks, Squantum Storm and Milton Mustangs.
In 2018 the QYFL moved to become the QYFCA.
As the Quincy Youth Football and Cheerleading Association we expanded into the Bay State Conference of the American Youth Football League, where the boys and girls of Quincy compete in grade based play against teams from surrounding towns.
Quincy Youth Football and Cheer is a nonprofit 100% volunteer organization. Our coaches, coordinators and administrators devote hundreds of hours annually to the program to ensure every child has an opportunity to succeed.
Quincy Youth Football and Cheer offers Flag Football, Cheerleading and Tackle Football to boys and girls from Kindergarten through 8th Grade. (See FAQ page from more details)
Our program is meant to primarily serve the children of Quincy, but will take children from other towns on a case-by-case basis.
Our players aren't just members of a team, they are members of our community. In the off-season we work with other nonprofits to bring sports and hope to the children of Quincy. We believe that sportsmanship doesn't stop at the edge of the field.
