Welcome to Quincy Youth Football and Cheer! We are excited you are showing interest in our tackle football program and hope you find this basic information helpful! Feel free to reach out with any questions!
- Season runs August - November
- We understand that kids play many sports. If you plan on playing more football and another sport during the fall please let us know. We will help workout a practice schedule.
- Practices are typically Tues, Wed & Thurs 5:30-7:30pm at Pageant Field and adjust as we approach darker evenings.
- We typically compete in 8 regular season games, with the top 6 teams in each division moving on to the playoffs.
- Tackle football is the ultimate team sport. It is extremely difficult to compete if players are not committed to attending practices and playing their role on the team. Every role on offense, defense and special teams is equally important.
- Players should arrive to practice on time. It is difficult to start practices without all of our players. Please notify your coach in advance if you will not be attending so they can adjust the practice plan accordingly.
- Players must bring their own water to practices. Players that do not bring water may be forced to sit out practice for safety purposes. We provide water for games.
- Adults do not have to stay at the field for practice but must arrive promptly for pick up after practice.
Game Day:
- Every player is expected to arrive at the field and ready to warm up 1 hour prior to game time.
- The game schedule will be listed on our site by late August.
- Coaches will send out messages via the team app by Friday reminding families of anything they need to know for game day. (Color jersey, field location, time)
- Games are typically on Sunday and last approximately 1.5hrs.
